"After Its Kind"

"And God created the great sea monsters, and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind, and God saw that it was Good." - (Genesis 1:21, NASB)

I do not usually place disclaimers at the beginning of posts, but this one is needed. I hope I can accurately present what is in my heart. I am not concerned with your understanding near as much as I am with my presentation.
God set a divine order in place in Genesis: things will produce after their kind. It means that bacteria does not produce fish, fish do not produce crocodiles, crocodiles do not produce monkeys, and monkeys do not produce humans. This is also true in the plant kingdom, where we find apple trees producing apples, and not oranges. Within creation, each produces after its kind. A pattern emerges:  plant produces plant, animal produces animal, man produces man. "After its kind."
Several months ago as I was praying in our sanctuary the Holy Spirit spoke very plainly to me saying, "A supernatural church will be built by supernatural means. Natural means produce natural results. Natural efforts will never produce supernatural results." I will NEVER elevate those things which the LORD speaks to me to the place of Scripture; however, I believe the principle to be true. We waste so much effort in trying to produce spiritual results using fleshly or carnal tools. Friends, spiritual results will never come through the wisdom and convention of men. If we want spiritual results in our life, we must use spiritual means. The flesh cannot produce the things of the spirit.  "After its kind."
Paul tells us, "But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised." (1 Cor. 2:14, NASB) The flesh cannot "get" the things of the Spirit. Paul further notes, "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful..." (2 Cor. 10:4-5, NASB) Fleshly means cannot win spiritual battles, they must be won on spiritual ground (Eph. 6:10-19). One more,  "For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit." (Rom. 8:5, NASB) "After its kind."
I realize that there will be some who will not "get me" on this one. I truly am sorry if I have confused you, but here is the point I am trying to make. If you are anything like me you have beat your head against the wall trying to make a difference in your own life, in those you know, those in your church, and even your world. You will never make an eternal difference if you keep doing it in the flesh. Jesus said, "It is the spirit that giveth life; the flesh profiteth nothing..." (Jn. 6:63, ASV) Let's quit succombing to the methods and means of man, and run full-stride into the things of the Spirit.
   "After its kind."
